Treasure Chest Games

Selling singles terms

We buy Magic: The Gathering singles and select Pokémon and Union Arena singles. We don’t buy cards from other trading card games.

Value

  • We buy Magic singles worth up to $300 on Face to Face Games. This may not apply to every card in that range, and we sometimes make exceptions for more valuable cards.
  • We don’t buy commons or uncommons unless they’re worth at least $7.00 on Face to Face, or they’re part of a collection. Otherwise we look at rares and mythics only.

How many copies

  • One copy of any Magic card that meets our other criteria, plus one foil copy. We may make exceptions for certain staples and mythic rares.
  • Up to four non-foil copies of cards that are legal in the Modern format.

Cards we don’t buy

  • Cards in languages other than English or Phyrexian
  • Tokens and other extras, such as Arena codes, counters, punch cards and sticker sheets
  • Basic lands, including full-art basic lands
  • Art cards, signed cards and oversized cards
  • Emblems
  • Cards from Un-sets

New sets

Prices move a lot when a set is new, so we start buying a set’s cards two weeks after the first day of its prerelease. For example, if the prerelease starts on a Friday, we buy that set from the Friday two weeks later.

Bringing cards in

  • Please sort cards alphabetically by set, then alphabetically within each set. Unsorted cards aren’t prioritized.
  • Ten cards or fewer can be handled while you wait.
  • More than ten and under 500 cards is a leave-in trade, completed as our staff have time. We’ll need your name and a reliable phone number.
  • 500 cards or more is a collection, which we take case by case.

Details on each option are on Sell us cards.

Exceptions

These terms can change at our staff’s discretion. An exception made once doesn’t mean it will be made again.
